The Madonna di Ghisallo is a must see for any cycling enthusiast. This tiny chapel sits overlooking Lake Como and houses photographs, memorabilia and bikes from some of the most legendary cyclists such as Fausto Coppi, Eddy Merckx and Miguel Indurain. |

The north side of Italy’s highest pass, the Stelvio.
Climbing this pass will test your legs with its 48
picturesque switchbacks, and 6000 feet of elevation
gain. The pass was first climbed in the Giro
d'Italia in 1953 and was made famous after Fausto
Coppi's victory. |

Alpe d'Huez, one of the classic climbs of the Alpes. This
breathtaking climb follows 21 hairpin switchbacks all
individually marked. This picture was taken as we
climbed out of the mist and dense clouds to be rewarded
with this amazing view above a sea of clouds. |

June 27th, just another
summer day on the Stelvio. 'As we climbed the
weather continued to deteriorate and by the top had
turned to snow. The climb was excellent and we all
enjoyed sitting in the warm bar drinking coffee and
watching the snow come down around us.' |

Pitigliano seems to have
stepped out from a fairytale and appears to have
grown from the stone. The high walls of volcanic
tufa, are carved by a thousand caverns, and
tower-houses that heighten the picturesqueness of
this medieval town. |

New to the Mortirolo climb is the addition of the Marco
Pantani memorial located 8 km up the climb. Established
in 2006, is now open to all who want to pay homage to
the unforgettable climber. |
